Cor of Ar, comes to speak to the Poets

Cor Tarrant made his way back towards the gate, his forehead glistening with beads of sweat that lingered along his crown. His narrowed eyes incessantly took in his surroundings, a trait honed into him since his childhood. "Ho there, Alars!" he called out, though he knew well the early ahns would have more than a few folks sleeping at the moment. Cor looked around appreciatively, though there was a slight grimace as to the rustic appearance of their camp.

Jaym Wolfhunter 's hands cupped to HIs mouth...and a bellow of some volume was heard..."You are seen by the wagons...come traveller.." He cried...for it was not uncommon for there to be visitors to the Laager...these were not the Turian plains...and many were those who came to hawk their wares and sell their information to the Noble Alar...

[04:51]  Jaym Wolfhunter chuckled to this and retort came on swift feet..."Id speak to you of wheels...and their turning...but My Logic...as the do the Wheels of the Wagons of the Alar...crush the world that impedes them" He said..."I do not see perhaps, culture as you see it...unless in the broadest sense..." He said with a dismissive wave of His paw..."But that is a discussion for paga and fist fights...and I am in no mood for either" He said honestly..."As for your interest in poetry..especially Alar Poetry...well, shows you a Man of good taste" He said...and then did He turn to His mate...lovely in her natural beauty...He spoke..."Kanda...this, is Cor of the city of Ar...Cor, this...is My Mate...Mother of My Son called Sorath...and Lore Keeper of the Laager..." He said...

[04:55]  Cor Tarrant (trenzos.dyrssen) noticed the woman and her son. He dipped his head to them in polite fashion. "Tal," he replied back, unsure if Lady was a title that constitued an insult or a praise. Perhaps it was all about the intentions, he mused. Flicking his gaze back to Jaym, he stroked his beard, looking thoughtful at the man's words. "Such is the Alar's way, I know, I know," he said, shaking his head. "I have studied the various cultures that are prevalent beyond the caste society I hail from. Each to their own. But I concur with your mood." He placed a hand on his chest and turned back to regard Kanda as the introductions were made. "Lore Keeper?" he queried. "Doubtless you would know more stories in prose, a fashion I am more interested in than verse. Well met, Kanda. The poems though must be sung loud. Loud enough to perhaps bring about a certain wall of rhyme that would be able to fend off people who...do not patronise the Arts." He looked to Jaym expectantly.

[04:58]  Kanda (kanda.veeper) had no idea what the topic of the day was thus far. It did seem to be everything from ease of wagon movement to war to arts all in the same breath. Always did a smile cross her lips to her her Mate speak her name..and then some. "It's a pleasure to meet you Cor of Ar. Have to say it's lovely to see a visitor up here from behind those walls. I..dont exactly do stories in anything more than straight word. " she turned a little blankly to her Mate. "You...do not want me singing.." and she did have to admit any attempt to do that would fend off some. Mountain larls..maybe. She watches her Mate slip into thought and sighs "So...you come up here ...for art?" she then asks their guest.

[05:02]  Cor Tarrant (trenzos.dyrssen) leaned forwards as Kanda spoke, nodding his head at the various appropriate moments. He then pursed his lips and studied the woman before him. "I am a scholar, first and foremost," he explained. "Certain legends I study and attempt to incorporate them into present day. You would be surprised just how many legends have a sliver of truth in it. So I have taken the vocation of travelling around and accounting the various legends of various cultures. When I met Jaym here in Ar, he told me he was a poet. I know well the nature of the Alars and their poetry is...certainly deep. Deep enough to perhaps store legends and myths." He paused, hmming aloud for a moment. "And to be sure, I am a patron of the Arts," he added unnecessarily.

[05:09 AM]  Kanda Veeper leaned forward with their guest and wraps her arms around her knees. There was always this feeling that came over her when she spoke with the educated sorts from cities. She was most certainly not one of them but knew that in her own right, she was quite leaned. "Well i at least, am no scholar. I am quite sure i have my work in life because i happen to be able to read and write at all. If you seek legends of any sort though.." she sticks a thumb toward her Mate and gives a sage nod "He..was born one..in every sense that there could be one..." and she looked at the handsome face marked by scars "I am a patron of the Him. Arts are well and good too though."

[05:17 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's merriment was plain in His eyes...words were given birth as His lips parted..."There are some poems, that come in the form of epic tales...and some poems that come in the form of shouted ire...it depends I think, on the mood of the composer...and the mood of the world around Him...or Her" He said...a low nudge light was given to His mates side..."Women I think are the greatest of poets..." the Alar Chieftain said without much pause...it was a strange thing to hear on a world such as Gor...but perhaps true...or at least true enough for an Alar..."For from within them...do they give life to a poem that exists past her mouth or hand...past even her life..." He said..."If, she is lucky" He added

[05:23 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen arched an eyebrow slightly and looked between the two. He leaned forwards even more and rubbed his palms together before facing it towards the fire. "I am unsure how gender is taken into account of poetry," he said in a refined voice. "Unless you are referring to the passers of knowledge, catering it along through oral correspondence which perpetuates the content and immortalises it. Though, in the telling certain changes or distortions are apt to be made." A scribe would possibly never be able to accept oral communication as a genuine one. He then dipped his head to Kanda. "But to be sure, do not assume my words are contrary to what Jaym says. Doubtless the voice of women are more pleasant than the rough baritone of men. Still..." He turned back to Jaym. "Poems are needed and as such, their value is not yet accounted for. Especially when they will be propagated to other cities to provide awareness of the Arts."

[05:26 AM]  Kanda Veeper nearly let out a laugh but instead the colour and smile upon her face rise to truer rouge an greater warmth. She was rather a fan of the poetry that came from ire...and the sort that was driven by pure unbridled passion. Really it was from the same heart though. To the nudge she instantly slips the palm of her hand over the toe of His boot and she did think that with those words, they did bare witness to art. At least it was art as she saw it "I think that right there was one of the more beautiful things i have heard said...and i am the luckiest woman around..so.." she turns to their guest with a waggle of her brows. He seemed to have a much more ..serious mind on poetry than the Alar did though. "I hope your words are not contrary to His or i might have to take offence...and then my mood and poems would all be soured..and that , dear man of Ar...would be a tragedy of artistic proportions. "

[05:27 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's barking laughter was heard...His hand smote His thigh and He spoke..."You see...You are not an Alar...For I speak of a life as a poem...and they...these women fine...are the creators of it!" He said...it was a solitary tear of merriment that gathered at the corner of His eye...it was dislodged with a calloused finger...and that finger wiped on the tunic of rough fabric that hung on His shoulders...His eyes turned to His mate...and then back to the fellow of Ar..."But I know of which you speak...the Poems of the world given voice by tongue...and not by deed or thought" ...His laughter laced voice then stilled..."Alar Poems...those spoke to those with ears to hear...are surely great...sold at times...depending on the nature of the telling...for as much as a gold tarn" He said..."and still...the price I think is too low" He mused...

[05:33 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen watched the exchange like a detached figure, taking in the small, subtle nuances between them. He smiled thin at Kanda's remark and he dipped his head to her once more. "A tragedy indeed, though hope is always a lucrative emotion that tends to usually provide determination," he replied. Jaym's sudden laughter though made him narrow his eyes. However, his angered face was washed away by the smile that adorned his lips. "Now that you mention it, but I consider life more than just a poem, but a saga of prose, one that is actually represented by the game of kaissa. Still, the price of your poems...a gold tarn. I will need to constantly hear your poems, so perhaps a rate of a gold tarn per every month." He paused and then parted his lips, scratching his cheek casually. "Although...just how well will you recite your poem to others? Will there be any...complications to those who perhaps appreciate your art but desire not to hear it?"

[05:34 AM]  Kanda Veeper turned back toward her Mate and after that statement it would be a few ehn before she would be able to pull her eyes away. She could hear their own creation out playing with the other children still..and it sounded like He was winning whatever game they played. Naturally. Her hand wrapped around the toe of His boot squeezes a bit harder. If only a squeeze could be properly translated into the gratitude and pure adoration she did feel. "Perhaps with their new tax cuts..the good people of Ar can actually afford the well formed words of the Alar.." then she too ponders if there would be any ..complications. Did strike her that far more would wish to hear their words...than not, though.

[05:38 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter scratched idly at the side of His face...He responded at first to the question..."Once...there was a fellow who asked of a Poem...He did not appreciate the complex simplicity of it...and thought to refuse payment...Now, mind you...He was infact drunk...and of ill mind...So...I for a short time, made the fellow bereft of conciousness...and then as is right and just...lightened His purse ...with interest" the Chieftain mused..."But that was in My youth...and I have little need for such now...I have even...in My noble and generous nature...gifted a poem upon a couple of fine folks of this world" He said...then scratching at His face did He ponder some..."as for how well are they recited...they are recited by an Alar...the quality of such telling is not something that needs worry over" He said "and you seem a fine fellow...Cor of Ar...I can see no foreseeable complications" He added..."Too...the price seems a good one...I cannot begrudge you your thrift...you are after all...not an Alar" He said to the Man

[05:43 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen smiled openly and dipped his head to him. "You are a gracious man, Jaym of the Alars," he said. "Then we have a deal. And now I can speak plainly with you." He paused though, mainly due to his dramatic manners. "When I call for your aid, you shall provide it to me, Cor of Ar. A time wil come when that will occur. But I need you to understand that the Ubarate of Ar is not the one paying you. I, Cor of Ar, leader of the House of Tarrant and cousin to the Ubara Melisande shall ensure your services will be rendered when I call for it. The Ubarate of Ar is not your client. I am. I trust this will not be a problem?" He turned his gaze to Kanda and nodded his head to her. "Actually, the economics of Ar is increasing, to the point where prosperity is huge. Under the Moisant Ubarate, it seems the city is doing well."

[05:48 AM]  Kanda Veeper could listen to her Mate talk all day. Half the things that parted from His lips made sense to no one but Himself...but that did not sway her love of His words. "Hm. You really have a way of um...disciplining those drunk and not in agreement with You..." and so many smitings could have been avoided by carefully chosen word of men who due to drink had lost any ability to pick words carefully. "I was able to listen to the new Ubar give his address to the city yesterday. That man gives much away to the public about the state of things. The wealth currently held in Ar...its profits...are known. Amongst other things.." and she turned again toward her Mate now a bit confused by the offer to be hired to a single house of Ar. Purpose for such really not clear to her....but that was what shutting up and looking pretty was for...so Men could talk and divulge the answers to questions she could not ask"

[05:52 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes were calm..."When you have need of a Poem, its type of delivery as of yet to be determined...yes...I can see no ill in the nature of this...bargain..." He said..."Now, as you might or might not know...Cousin of the Ubara...of Ar" the Chieftain spoke..."Melisande has offered a substantial sum to the rapacious personage of the Alar...in this...what shall We call it...spat..." he said amused..."With Tyros...though I have yet to speak with the Ubarate in person...and so...no formalized agreement...has been reached" He said..."These two...contracts...are separate from each other...know that...as the converse continues" He said without rancor

[05:55 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen nodded his head to Kanda. "Unfortunately I was busy in some other affairs, but yes, he believes in an open manner not unlike that of the Alars," he said, a deliberate attempt at flattery there. "Even so, the scope of Ar's existence was thwarted slightly by Tyros, as everyone knows. My interest though is in another matter altogether that's hardly associated with Melisande's dealings with you. Ubarates must react to what is heaped on their plate. But I am a visionary and it is inevitable that hostilities between Treve and Ar will resume sooner or later. So..." he leaned back and rubbed the back of his neck. "It is hardly my jurisdiction to tell you who you can or cannot work with. I am providing you with my purpose so you can get the job done easily. I am placing the pieces on the kaissa board now. In time, the game will start and the pieces will begin to move."

[05:58 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter rubbed His hands together..."Then the world might well be ready...for the Alar Gambit!" He cried...He leaned in...and spoke as if in secrecy..."You see...one night, I had a dream...of a Gambit unmatched...whereby...the Alar who sat at either the yellow or the red...might swiftly take up the board...and smite the opponent upon the head with the heavy wooden block" He said ... "I Myself...felt it a stroke of genius...though, some...especially those fellows of the caste of players...might not think so...then again..." He said..."...they are not Alar" He added

[05:59 AM]  Kanda Veeper goes rather quiet and lets the arm still free of anything wrap tightly around her knees as she leans in with keen interest. It was an honour, or at least she considered it one that she was able to sit in on this sort of conversation between Men. She was not sure if the topics at hand might bore most women to tears but she was always fascinated by dealings between cities and now extremely curious as to why a house would hire those who had essentially been offered place to fight in Ar. It seemed to her that the only reasons for such would be the most ..juicy. She did take a guess though,...that both Men played Kaissa and the board was not here ..but up in the wagon.
[05:59 AM]  Kanda Veeper: "Let me know if You need me to go get ..the game.." she whispers over left

[06:01 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen narrowed his eyebrows into a semblance of a frown at the Alar's words. Cor was a man who not only loved the game, he worshipped it. And to think... "Well, such a stroke of genius would be considered cheating," he countered. "Why, if someone did that, I would ensure the man become an outlaw." He shook his head once more and then looked over at Kanda. "But doubtless such talk would bore you, Lady."

[06:04 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's hearty laughter was heard to bellow forth..."I have been called...so much worse..." He cried..."Outlawry...is often I think...something that is tied to the beliefs of a world that cannot deal with them..." He said...idle chatter for certain..."As for Cheating...well...You, Cor of Ar...do not make a living...as do the Alar...and such ...bending of the rules...are ways in which We fine fellows...ensure victory...and the contined judicious nature of the Alar...which superceedes...any sense of righteous indignation...leveled at us...by those of the cities" He said without malice...

[06:08 AM]  Kanda Veeper heard a squeal of children but it was not the comforting warm sort so she sticks her head out of the tent for an ihn and rolls her eyes before shouting down "Sorath!! You do not get to do that to girls until they are older!! Put her down.." and the motherly glare came out until it was done and she could return to adult conversation. "I..think i might have called You worse.." she chuckles. "Must be easy to follow every rule and law set forth when you live in the comfort and safety behind giant walls, though." she slips in before hushing herself once more so the Men could properly speak. It was amazing how poetry seemed to fall from her Mates lips with every word. Surely the Man Cor could be nothing short of impressed.

[06:10 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen waved his hand dismissively. "Vernacular verbosity can only be comprehended through the most altruistic of notions, catered only to those who would cast away the shield of honour," he said. "But to be sure, I never was a man who liked carrying the shield around. Another reason why I rose caste." He chuckled slightly and rubbed his forehead. "Anyhow, it is best I take my leave, Jaym of the Alar. Business does not seem to warrant any notion of actually being busy without my presence, alas." He flicked his gaze towards the children and looked bemused for a moment. "Walls give me the priveledge to lead a life of comfort. It would be difficult to study obscure legends and the concepts of society when I worry more about having enough wood for a fire." He gestured towards the fireplace.

[06:13 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter nodded to this amused...He spoke as rough fingers dragged through the mane atop His head...adding simply..."When next you see your cousin...give her the regards...of the Chieftain of the Alar..." He said casually...His eyes dancing merry and bright..."I wish you well enough...Cor of Ar...travel fast and low" He said...not rising...but simply turning His attention then...to matters of some import...He looked to His mate..."I am ravenous" He said

[06:15 AM]  Kanda Veeper blinks up and swears she missed something "You are going?" and she didn't think she had been off correcting offspring types for so long that she had missed and entire business deal. Perhaps she had been distracted and missed it since her own thoughts sometimes did get in the way "So wait...the Men are hired by him.." she motions to Cor "..and potentially to the city..but it's separate contracts?" She ...did not quite get it but had to attribute these things to her being a woman and lacking the ability to grasp. There were three words there though that sent her to her feet "Oh..wait...ravenous for ..food?" she just had to double check..

[06:15 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen dipped his head to Jaym and Kanda. "I wish you well." At that, he turned away, heading through the camp and making his way into the fields of Eteocles.

[06:17 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter nodded to this and patted the stomach once..."Hungry...for food...at the moment" was His reply..."As for the other matters...Worry not your pretty head...it is well in hand..." He said..."I will fill you in...later" He said amused

[06:19 AM]  Kanda Veeper gives a nod as well and bends down to place her lips gently to the scar under His left cheek "Then food..You shall have. I can go to the kitchen and get You something proper.." she didn't think the snacks closer by would solve the issue of ravenous. " I would appreciate the fill in. People ask me questions and i hate not knowing how best to answer them..if at all." and with that she spins on heel and heads out to do what she loved to do most..make Him..happier.

[06:19 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen muttered to himself. "A Chieftain as a Poet?" he shook his head. "What next, a Player as an Ubar?" He kicked a pebble with his sandals and allowed his toes to meet it. Boots. Next time wear boots.

The Alar Camp outside Ar...

[04:30 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's hands were cupped to His mouth ...a deep breath was taken and He, that Chieftain of the Alar gave a bellow that rung loudly through the streets...or at least to Him it did..."BEWARE...THERE ARE ALAR CAMPED OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF AR!" He cried...allowing a hint of panic to mix with the words shouted...It was to join in the fray of war that the Alar had come...not yet chosen of a side...but surely they would ride at the front of either the forces of Ar...or the forces of Tyros....whomever's coffers were opened the most deeply...."BEWARE" He added anew...pleased by the looks of the passing merchants and the stock terror of that slave whos bells noted her hasty departure...a grin suffused His face...and the Alar Chieftain with banner proud then began to walk idly through the streets...well pleased with the turmoil that now surrounded...

[04:34 AM]  Dren Bernard shakes his head as he decides it is time to go to sleep, another long night, time it is.

[04:35 AM]  Kytor Silverblade fingered His sword, and the laid eyes on an old familliar "THought the tune sung sounded familliar" He remarked, as He stood back and leaned up against the wall ajacent "You put fear into the denizens of Ar, chief.. Though they're in need, feeling themselves certainly superior per normal.." He hitched a brow "It is good to see you again, a sentiment not many of Ar will however share I'd imagine"

[04:36 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen walked out into the streets after hearing the loud sound. Alars....how had they come into this picture? Frowning thoughtfully, he turned to regard the assassin before him and then, evidently, the Alar. It was easy to tell. The man had blonde hair and was wearing barbaric clothes. And the big axe helped too. "Ho there!" he called out to the Chieftain. "The Killer is right. Not many would be pleased to know the Alars here, barbarous folks that they are. What name do you go by, Alar?"

[04:39 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter scratched at the side of His face with four fingers calloused...merriment danced in the eyes of the man called Jaym by some...Brute by others...and in response His words were given wings..."Ho " He called out in tones laden with pleasuere...and then He turned to the fellow arrived late..."Ho to you fellow!" He called out..."I Myself...am rumored to be called Jaym...said by some...to be the Chieftain of the Rapacious Alar....often called a great teller of stories...and a Poet of no equal...." He said..emphasizing the good...naturally, He was called many things...as were the Alar...often with fear and jealousy laden tongues...His eyes cut through the swaths of people...over buildings of cut stone aplenty..."Our Arrival is not yet of ill omen...for We have yet to take a banner under which to ride..." He said..."I am simply...weighing our options...who can begrudge Me this?" He asked...

[04:42 AM]  Kytor Silverblade woulda lughed, though His training was different than to permit HImself that given the gravity of the situation "Insulting the Alar before one of there own .. Certainly a good idea" He remarked with glee as He studied the bluecaste, as His arms folded Over His chest "Scarcely think anyone would, I do however believe the last bidder to not win, will be the one grievous to the Alar" And found Himself speculating if a third intrest would prop in to Bid, for an unexpected result possibly

[04:43 AM]  Trenzos Dyrssen studied the man carefully, attempting to pry through the words and perceive the unsung voice the Alar did not deign to reveal. He narrowed his eyes ever so slightly, however, his eyebrows perked up at the mention of stories and Poet. Pursing his lips together, he then began to stroke his beard. "Well, this is most curious," he remarked, taking another step forward. "I am Cor Tarrant of the Scribes and a Patron of the Arts. It would be rather negligent of me if I did not patronise the poet....of no equal," he further added hurriedly. "Still, you do not look like much of a Poet lest you prove yourself. I would desire you recite one." He turned to Phoenix and shook his head. "Ah and here I thought the Alars actually loved being called barbaric. Insults are for the intentions, at least within the civilised worlds."

[04:45 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin slipped hands through her hair, fingers tangled in a web of blonde strands. She'd been sitting pon marble stairs in awe of all that was Ar, for never had she seen such a city in her life. Her gaze had hungrily observed all that surpassed with a throbbing of her heart, and an ache in her stomach for she longed for home. However, life had led her to a different path, and so she took it, with reservation. She must've dozed off, somewhere along the line, for when her gaze settled back, she saw men talking and voices booming. And so she sat up, nimble hands resting on her knees while she settled her stare on the tips of her boots.

[04:49 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's amusement was plain as He responded to Kytor first..."What care I, of those who did not fully weigh the need for We fine fellows to ride aneath their banner?" He asked..."If their purses and pouches be tied too tight, then it be on their own head the folly of being miserly" He said, then did He turn to the fellow called Cor...His voice thunderous if distant..."Ho then...Cor of the Writers of things...and Patron of Others..." a nod was given to Him singular..."...though your jest is amusing...it would be folly to continue....an Alar poem or story is no simple thing...its a tapestry woven...and can fetch a high price in the telling...once" He said..."As for being barbaric....I see the cities as such...not we of the Laager...is it not...barbaric to shun the world...and forget the smell of clean air...to marvel at columns and not at the falling of water over a stream pure..." He asked..."Then again...you might not think so, and I cannot begrudge you this...you are not an Alar, so surely flawed" He said

[04:56 AM]  Adelphia Resident was absolutely and unapologetically sensual in her every movement, as she sashayed through the city. Breeding and training worked as one to ensure that she turned most of the heads she passed by. Every feature on her face was the result of generations of breeding, and even her blinks were somehow seductive, just the smallest, slowest little droop and raise of her lids. The odd peasant that looked as though he would try to reach out and touch her was met with a defiant, daring glare, and she passed by without issue. She stopped only when she spotted robed of blue, and a perfectly shaped brow lofted up on her forehead. The undulation of her hips slowed as she changed course and approached the men. Just close enough to eavesdrop, mind. It was as she arrived within earshot and stopped that the general conversation became apparent, and sent her cheeks appling. As she stood on the spot, she moved slowly, her limbs and wide hips subtly swaying in a way that was as natural to her as breathing, sending just the gentlest tinkling of her adornments onto the breeze. She didn't speak, nor greet, nor kneel. She stood in place and occasionally ran a critical gaze over the three figures, mostly giving the impression of being entirely enraptured by her own body as she preened like a peacock.

[04:58 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin canted her head back, ever so slightly, her gaze swiftly sweeping from one to another, even slaves she regarded in her silence, and what beauty's they beheld. The supple fabric of silk enhancing the curves of there marvoulous bodies. A pang of jealousy shot her, but for only a moment, for she hadn't a heart for slavery, though she never shunned work. She tried to recall the things she knew about Alar, but for the fact that they cut babies and killed those they considered weak, infant included. But then again, all could be rumours, for gossip was always hot topic in many a womans conversation. She'd even heard stories about men eating men. A shudder ran down her spine, despite the weather. A light smile danced on her lips at the words of this marvelous man, as he insulted the other without hesitance. The marvels she had seen on her travels so far, were simply exhilarating to her, for so long had she lived in a cage of ice and snow, cruelly whipping winds and little pleasure.

[05:01 AM]  Kytor Silverblade Looked all around, and His eyes fell in recognition to the 3 figures who had doubled the habitation of these discussion suddenly, though He judged at least 3 would be quiet for the discussions, but He noticed the furled brow on the woman of free nature, though distant, His attention to detail was part of the training He had once received, too He studied well the slavegirl strutting around like she was the end-game of life or some such, But he would not deprave her, Instead He'd whistle at her to come forth, like she was but a mere animal, but By his comprehension any slave, though bred were mere objects.. He glanced to the scibe and then to Jaym "It's not often you see something as ladened with emotion as a slave's dance .. Though this, is moreso" He exlaimed as He parked His ass on the bench and looked on with clear amusement "Neither of you know naught of real poetry, but please, do proceed"

[05:05 AM]  Rahn Au grins to man sitting next to me "Tal" he says cheerfully

[05:05 AM]  Crysantha Lafleur settles down to the very clean cobbles at his feet, her body always within reach, the early morning sun just peeking out, with a sleep smile on her face she stifles a yawn looking around.

[05:06 AM]  Innocence Lapis she was just going to threat a chain of small marigolds and wear them on her head, but as poetry was mentioned she gasped out in delight. Some slaves drew their pleasure from touch, she derived the more intimate pleasure of mental intercourse, perhaps it was because she was a born scribe and slave by the amusement of the Priest kings, tiny hands pressed against the stones in a silent kiss of anticipation as her eyes got wider, and wider as her pulse sped up and her stomach started releasing butterflies into the cavern of her torso she moved in the shadowy lee's of the walls, looking for a vantage spot to listen from, but still make her floral head wreath

[05:06 AM]  Crysantha Lafleur: "Tal, Master", murmuring very quietly.

[05:07 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes danced merry at the arrival of His mate...An arm slipped around her waist...and without hesitation or pause did He capture Her lips with His...being refined was He felt, for those who were not capable of being bold...and then as the kiss was broken...did He hear the fellow speak of His lack of knowledge...a smile danced in His eyes...and fingertip itched for a brief moment..."Mind your tongue...else I use it to fashion a noose about your neck" He said with a voice bereft of emotion or malice..."For you see...the Alar are unmatched in anything their mind is set to...and there are no peoples as prolific in the verbal arts...as the Alar" He said ..."Why...it was an Alar...handsome fellow...who won even the Contest of Ar, during the feast of fools held here a year past" He said without much in the way of subtlety...His eyes slid amongst those now gathered...a nod given to those Free folk...and appraisal of those which were not...

[05:08 AM]  Kaitlin Eiren steps outside the clinic intent on having a look at the changes overnight to the new clinic but pulls up short seeing the cast of varied characters outside the door. Dipping her head in greeting and farewell to all she heads over to the older section of the city wondering at the events of the busy lane vowing to return to have a look.

[05:08 AM]  Kanda Veeper was never in the slightest surprised to see her Mate surrounded by various people. Men and slaves was what most often did find their way to encircle Him. Her brow arches toward Him slightly at the mention of poetry though there was not much time to keep it raised, or desire to as His lips did find her own..an act she would never tire of. Gently she leans into Him and tries to get all caught up on if she actually did know anyone or anything that was going on. Clearly a lesson on Alar brilliance was a part of it. Education for the people of Ar was a good idea in her mind too..since many seemed to have not a clue about her Mate or the Alar people. It was a lesson she was going to be quite content to just stand and watch,

[05:08 AM]  Rahn Au rubs his eyes, sore from being hung over... "its to damn earrly in the morning. why did you wake me?" poking the slave's ribs

[05:08 AM]  Crysantha Lafleur jerks, her lush curves rippling with the movement, she gazes at him her eyes still that half closed sensual appearance upon awakening. "I kept hearing odd noises in this strange place Master, I am sorry i was so restless."

[05:08 AM]  Innocence Lapis her eyes narrowed and her lips presses tightly against one another as a flare of emotion painted the heights of her cheeks with what ever passion it was. Perhaps she was angry, perhaps the defense of the ancient art of linguistics and their import was something that stirred her normally pallid cheeks to a crimson hue. As for Alars.. she didn't have a good word to say about them. They had not in any way impressed her with their candor. Quite the opposite in fact, they had appeared to her to be a lazy warring people, camping outside of the principalities in Gor to avoid having to learn anything as strenuous as reading. In fact it had been an Alar, tall, blond and full of himself that had chided her ' what use is a slave that can read... I need a slave that can fuck'. She shuddered and curled down against the stone, placing the last pierced stem through another and creating the never ending knot of flowers, she popped it on her head with a broad, proud smile, like an Ubara being crowned, before waiting to actually hear... some poetry

[05:08 AM]  Adelphia Resident's attention was caught by the whistle of the man in black. Her eyes flitted over to him, though she didn't move at once. She let her eyes trail down to his feet and back up. She was arrogant... and very obviously so. But the arrogance was not born of a self-worth in any way other than a monetary one. She was, in the end, no more than a vessel for genes that had been honed by slavers. She was in motion by the time Phoenix sat, her wide hips undulating from side to side, the gentle tinkling of her adornments punctuating the air with every step. When she reached him, she melted to her knees, folding her colt-like legs beneath her and arching her back to perfection. Her every subtle movement was designed to display herself to the man... to make him find her desirable... and most importantly, to garner his interest in stock from her owner's house. Her voice was a thickly accented Taharian purr, barely more than a whisper of "Greetings, Master." as she met his eyes with her own near-black gaze. The arrival of  the other people wasn't missed, but she had been whistled to attention, so attention she'd give, in spades.

[05:08 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin crossed her ankles as she continued to sit and watch the scene unfold. She was not the only one showing interest, for more joined to watch this spectacle. Hungering eyes caught hold of every detail, the clothes they were, their movements, yet never would she cross gaze with anybody. The corner of ones eye, could behold many a thing too. Fingers reached to push back a strand behind her ear before landing both palms behind her, and resting back a bit. What a day this turned out to be. Momentarily eyes fluttered shut, enjoying the beams of sun that warmed her pale skin. And as her eyes opened once more, the kiss had surpassed and she'd seen nothing of such an event, so bodly. Brow arched at the mans threat and worry crept to embrace her heart, choosing between staying in curiosity, or wandering further out of safety. The sheer arrogance of the Alar intrueged her, and it dawned on her that perhaps the stories of their cruelty could be true, and not the webs of an over imaginative free womans mind. She sat on  her hands, the urge to speak so great she bit her lip to refrain herself. For all that talk about poetry didn't do the subject justice, like speaking of beauty, yet never witnessing

[05:16 AM]  Kytor Silverblade Perked a brow asHe laid eyes on Kanda "It is well to see you without cuffs on for once, Kanda.." He said in jest, though it was true, usually when He saw her she'd be knee-depp in trouble of some sort, mostly with the law "I see you still serve Jaym with unbridled passion, yes?" He spoke, as He looked at the exotic who came to His feet, surely a special one, one that would certainly fetch a sack of gold for someone who praised slave above their stations, though as He had no use for a slavegirl of such price, He simply reach out, grabbed her collar and put her on all fours, as His back pressed against the wall and He lifted His feet to resto n her back "I wonder, what price would a footstool be worth?" he muttered

[05:20 AM]  Innocence Lapis she giggled at such an odd movement, then suckled her lower lip to keep her silence in tact, she padded about the corner to lay eyes on the beast on all fours, for a moment she looked to the man responsible. Her ears wiggled with amusement and she hope he might add to the she-beast punishment, making her eats sans hand. That would be funny, watching the exotic girl, in all her splendor lapping from a bowl of water like a clumsy Bosk. It was all too much, she had to press back into the shadows and bury her face in her hands, indulging in a soft ripple of child like laughter. It was muffled by the serious , thick segments of her working tunic. She wasn't a pretty silky, she was a working kajira. She let out her first audibly loud noise, as her Master approached, throwing herself on his leg and kissing his foot

[05:21 AM]  Kanda Veeper 's eyes cast around those gathered and she spotted the Men doing as they wish which was normal..tended by bits of flesh. She did wonder about the other bits of flesh though who seemed to do nothing. One in particular up upon the stairs struck her as rather lazy. Simply sitting on stairs to have to avoid any service...she could only assume. Didn't really matter though since obviously it was on a slave amongst the laager. She did give a little laugh upon hearing the words of someone she had to admit it had been far too far between sightings of "In fairness..they didn't ever put me in cuffs here ..and i got the best room and service in the city after that .." she chuckles "..and i'm His Mate..i do what's needed.." then she naps her fingers at the bit of flesh being used as a stool "They rain down upon the Laager for free...bits of flesh..if you do recall.." then she gives a quick look to one more Man yet arriving and lets out a soft "Tal.."

[05:21 AM]  Innocence kneels and reverently kisses Syd's foot.

[05:21 AM]  Rahn Au leaning down closer to to her ear " Today we move but I want you to send word to Eldin in case I end up detained for some reason." Them both knowing sooner or later he would be in trouble

[05:22 AM]  Deltroy Umino speaks quickly. "Tal." He greets, minimally, inconspicuosly despite his outlandishly foreign clothing.

[05:22 AM]  Syd Moonstone: me stands outside the physicians door watching the scene before him, and smiles seeing his new aquisition.. "greetings mine.. " he says softly beofore turning his attention to the others in the square guaging the mood of theday .. he places a hand in the small of his back experimentally testing the area of the injection.. but feels nothing ]

[05:23 AM]  Janne Swashbuckler: Kept her self in a bit of distance just to observe the crowd in front of her. She somehow felt amused by the conversation she heard between the free people lips. Dove was always a shy one, and she always kept her distance when she was unsure on the suroundigs. Her green sparkling eyes kept moving from one side to another. Felt a small breeze tickle her hair, as it layed down like a sheet over her curvy breasts. Her hand rised slowly up to her right ear, to check if the talender she recently got was still worn in her hair. It made her smile again.

[05:23 AM]  Crysantha Lafleur grins at his orders, and nods her head to acknowledge, "Yes Master, I will be sure to warn him when... er... if that happens." Reaching up she scratches the side of her nose aimlessly, then traces that same nail down his knee in affection.

[05:24 AM]  Innocence Lapis Alar women in their dresses of grey wool, and loosely woven hair could not compare more often than not to slaves, especially those as pretty as the ones gathering and coo'ing about the men, she didn' envy them at all, as Alar women, were known, in fits of jealousy to SLAUGHTER slaves. She had done her best to see the Alar males scars, but his floppy hair had hidden them, leaving her disappointed. "Tal my Master, The Lady of the Serviti wishes to speak to you about borrowing me, the lady green, you have seen, and that is all. I missed you my Master! how may I please you?!"

[05:24 AM]  Rahn Au: /mebarely lifting his head. His head still throbbing from the night before "Tal" he saysto Deltroy

[05:24 AM]  Adelphia Resident's limbs were in motion at once, even slightly before strong fingerpads made contact with her collar. She moved fluidly, following the guidance of the steel about her neck, and putting her arms out before her, lotion-softeneed palms pressing against the rough stone. When his feet lifted and moved to her back, she arched slightly, creating a cradle in the small of her back that would give him comfort... and her, back-ache. But what was back-ache, if not the price of gleaming? Her head was held straight and she found a pebble on the floor upon which to rest her gaze. Though the sounds of the city washed over her, occasional tidbits of conversation being absorbed by her sharp mind, she would seem entirely and undeterrably focused on her task.

[05:25 AM]  Syd Moonstone wanders down the steps motioning that altonia should follow.. "tal Free .. " he chcukles genially .. "and not so free"

[05:25 AM]  Deltroy Umino lifts a hand to Rahn, recognizing him. "Tal." He replies, although clearly too busy to stop and share words.

[05:26 AM]  Yuroki Resident shouts: morning devotions will start in about five ehns!

[05:27 AM]  Rahn Au gets up and stretches " Lets go to market and gather some fruit and I will send you for my morning black wine. "

[05:27 AM]  Crysantha Lafleur glances around her at times, everything here being an unknown to her, she keeps low and quiet not wishing to attract anymore attention than needed at this early hour, smiling pleasantly she wonders what is going to be the plan for today.

[05:27 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes were upon the assembled each in their turn. One hand was drapped around the waist of His Woman...for she had hips that were perfect for such things...amusement danced in His eyes...for His mate was no stranger to trouble...it seemed to follow the Alar like night followed day...He watched as those gathered and passed looked upon the world...and then heard the call for devotions..."I only just arrived...I am surprised a gathering might be formed so quickly..." He said clearly amused...

[05:29 AM]  Syd Moonstone notes that most are busy and that his rumbling stomach is more pressing than passing the time of day .. but the Alar seemed genial enough .. " did you think they had gathered for your coming sir? he chcukles.. "and there was I thinking it was my presence from the physicians that caused it.. they were all concerned for my health .. but alas not.." he laughs

[05:30 AM]  Innocence Lapis she watched the bald man slap his sandals off towards market, a single arm curling about her Master's leg with a brazen devotion. She knelt up and briefly kissed his fingers as he still stirred. Noting his glasses were on his nose, she curled back down, taking herself off eye-ball watch to make sure nothing untoward happened. Her nails scraped softly at the back leather of his boot as she looked the Alar couple over. She didn't greet, she was still being allowed the fuzzy luxury of silence , but her Master's retort drew a smile to her hips, "Hungry my Master?"

[05:31 AM]  Kanda Veeper was still a bit unclear as to why it was they were in Ar in the first place. She had a bit of an idea ..or at least a few leads as to what they were doing but as always her Mate was indeed a bit of a mystery. Least predictable Man she had ever met...but she did adore Him for it. "I don't know if you have noticed.." she turns attentions to Syd. "...many people gather when He shows up in places ..generally with no request made..." chuckles "Perhaps they do worry for your health. You have not had any strange skin lesions, right?"

[05:31 AM]  Kytor Silverblade was struck with a sense of the slave sought to please, and didn't perhaps care for how other slaves would percieve her for it, and started equating her cost in actuality, His hand slapped 'cross her ass to see if trained flesh reacted the same way as untrained, and it'd seem it had "Well.. I need be off soon, but I maintain it's always good to see you and Jaym regardless of state, Kanda, all I hope is, no matter who wins the pending auction of services, I be let free passage, as I would in the laager, so i may carry out my own work"

[05:32 AM]  Yuroki Resident shouts: Praise be to You, Priest-Kings, holy and mighty,
Who have brought us safely through night's darkness to the bright dawning of this new day.

[05:32 AM]  Yuroki Resident shouts: Blessed are you in the natural world, which shows forth your abundant gift to us:
Stability of stone in your sacred Sardar mountains;
stone which bears the weight of the world
Grace of water in storm and stillness, in rain, dew, and snow, in the great rivers and the shining Thassa, the sea;

[05:33 AM]  Syd Moonstone: Smiles.. thank you for enquiring ... but no.. my condition is caused by the somewaht rare problem of the serums having the wrong effect and increasing the rate of ageing.. however Lady KAit has found a treatment.. I am feeling the benefits day by day but she says it might take as long as six hands till I am fully rejuvenated..

[05:34 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter chuckled in wry humor...His hand waved the fellows words off amicably..."Surely this is so...the Arrival of the Alar to the fields of Ar...is surely reason for homage" He said affably..."Too, you cannot be begrudged your thoughts folly...You, are not an Alar" He said...such was the time honored tradition of the Laager folk...He looked about some...and then having reached to draw stray hair from His eyes He spoke leaning over to speak to His mate..."Hendrix was sent to deal with the Ubarate of Ar...I have no word as to their terms...My suggestion is, is if you have shopping to do...We do it with all due focus...for they, these fine Arians...might not be so pleased if We were to adopt the banner of Tyros in the coming days" He said and then was the fellow heard..."Ah...I am well pleased...They believe I am a Priest King...surely not far from truth" He said, joyful arrogance tinged His words...

[05:34 AM]  Innocence Lapis now they were closer she moved behind her Master's leg , keeping hidden to allow her the secrecy to get a better look at his scars. She'd seen it done, a newly born babe, eager to suckle, but not allowed until the chieftain had given him a taste of pain, before satisfaction. She still didn't completely understand if that was a lesson one learnt at such an early age, but she had seen what happened to men without scars, and it was, if nothing but for the equilibrium of culture, something that HAD to be done

[05:36 AM]  Yuroki Resident shouts: Hear me, Priest-Kings!

[05:36 AM]  Yuroki Resident shouts: Ta Sardar Gor!

[05:36 AM]  Kytor Silverblade shouts: By Odin, keep it down!

[05:37 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin made a glance towards the man who was occupying the slave as a footstool. A brow arched, yet it didn't surprise her in the least. She didn't care for Priest-Kings, it was not of her ways, yet the prayers sounded soothing, especially with all the taunting words flying back and forth. She had no interest in sparring in such a way, nor in any other. Fingers laced together in her lap as she uncrossed her ankles and set up straight, inclining her head at the latest arrival of the day. The audacity of the man in his taunting words about the Priest-Kings, did shock her so, a small gasp falling from unwilling lips. She frowned now and shook her head "There is arrogance, and there is insolence, there is no need in insulting ones believes." she said without thought. Her voice was light, yet loud enough to be heard by those nearby. The mans jests grew tiring for her and she wondered how a people could be so arrogant towards others, visiting a city uttering threat after threat, yet nobody stood to do anything.

[05:38 AM]  Adelphia Resident had already started to feel the stirrings of passion deep in the pit of her tummy, almost directly below the position of Phoenix's feet on her back. She managed to hold still, every ounce of effort put into pleasing the man, even if her hips did threaten to roll with a lascivious anticipation. The hand on her ass, though, was too much. As her finely honed rump jiggled, a throaty moan was pulled from her lips and her hips flinched. It took no more than a split second for her to still herself, but she made no effort to hold back the reaction. Her emotions, after all, were not her own to keep or control.

[05:38 AM]  Syd Moonstone rests a hand in the hair of the girl at his knee idling curling the stands around his fingers and pulling it through his knuckles.. at the name of Tyros he nearly spits but catches himslef in time.. "Tyros is not a worthy place for any to hang their cap beside.. " he shakes his head.. " I was ambassador ere long trying to sort out problems with them in cities the length of the Vosk River and beyond.. surely there must be ways of trade and relative peace.. for if we are always at war where is the profit to plunder?"

[05:39 AM]  Kanda Veeper slips her teeth subtly over her lower lip as her Mates warm breath and words find her ear. She too turns and presses her face up into His blond locks with the softest of return whispers "I had a man trying to figure out where we stood there...between cities. I told him coin would be the answer. Hope that is alright.." she then quickly turns ever rosy cheeks back to the Men in front and pushed up a smile "I for one think You have far most impressive traits than any priest king,..but maybe i have a bias in such things.." and she knew conversations about the PK with the Alar were always interesting. She did wonder if the temple near by still had a stink of fried vulo to it from the Alar picnic so long ago.

[05:39 AM]  River Lee gasps and ducks out of the way of the initiat, pulling her robes in close and looking down toward the ground...swallowing hard she follows his path with her pale gaze a moment until he is well out of sight then looks back to the crowd..announcing in a nervous lilt..."Fresh Fish!...and this time it is fresh! Caught this morning!"

[05:40 AM]  Tuntura Masatada silently studies each persons face as he seems to chisel them to memory.

[05:40 AM]  Innocence Lapis ooohs.. a female voice with all the strength and conviction of any man. Her chest swelled with pride, she was a female and it did her heart good to hear a female, separated as they were by.. whatever you believe seperates a slave and a woman, she pressed against her Master's leg, rising to her feet, to whisper into his ear and then falls back down reverently to his feet. She'd offer service, but for now they free were talking, and doing lots of it, so she made herself useful by picking stray threads from his garments

[05:41 AM]  Syd Moonstone rubs his stomach to calm the gurgling noise which seems to him to be getting louder .. he is almost grateful to the fish seller's noisy calls for covering it.. and wonders if it is the same fish as yesterday.. just a day older and a day smellier..

[05:42 AM]  Kytor Silverblade slid His boots off the girl, though relentlessly held her collar as He had her stand, too He rather bluntly tugged her along, with naught for parting words except "Then steel meets steel, certainly" He said, though His ambition would of course not be for unpaid death, it was beneath Him, too He'd rather not end up fighting with the Alar either, He knew their skills, or at least the skills of some of their men

[05:42 AM]  River Lee continues her stalking..calling out every few steps.."FRESH FISH!...Caught this morning!"...pausing to glance up at the guard she immdiatly looks down and moves away from him...Fresh Fish!...2 Bits!"

[05:44 AM]  Syd Moonstone lifts his head and sniffs.. yes it was the same fish... the smell could bring down a tarn from a dozen passangs

[05:45 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter was as always...laden with wry humor...the words that swirled about clearly heard...His eyes fell to the slave...the one which spoke without pause..."What are beliefs to some...are trivalties to others...those beliefs, that are not of the Alar...are assuredly trivial...surely this is so...too..." He mused..."none, are more trivial...than, that of a slave...but I am noble and generous...and so grant you life continued" He said..."speak thusly again...and such gifts will be recinded..." He said without ire or emotion...then to the fellow He turned...that Man called Sid....and He held out two fists..."Imagine these hands laden with coin...one minted in Ar..the other in Tyros...if the one with the coin of Tyros, spends the same as the one minted in Ar...wherin lies the difference" He asked...He turned then to His Woman.."The answer is perfect...Honest...and true...none can begrudge you that" He said to her..then noted the person of Archon...a nod given.."Ho" He called out...

[05:47 AM]  Kanda Veeper wiggles her fingers behind her and did enjoy their redheaded terror of a friends so very much. Unique...was not a good enough word for the man. "Tal.." she mouths back over her shoulder and then watched the Man in black who knew them rather well, head off. Always interesting how those who knew the Alar ..their ways..seemed so much less wide eyed at their existence in a city "Be well then!! " she calls after Phoenix then returns full attention to her Mate and His words of wisdom that simply could not be rivalled. It was good too she had not stepped over limits she should not have when approached by the man who questioned their loyalties. Nothing worse than having the Men or Man inform that she as a woman had stepped beyond place. Not this time though..and she was approached. "Good. Always worry when i'm not totally sure of Your mind.."

[05:48 AM]  Syd Moonstone raise his eyeborws and with a look that shows his weary knowledge of the ways of Gor smiles slightly... " so .. it is about money for you rather than honour.. and it is about the chance to fight... rather thn the chance to make the lives of ordinary citizens run more smoothly.. well of course it takes all sorts .. but I have been around long enough to have seen it all before !

[05:49 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin seethed with anger at the sudden insult, and hands curled to fists as she controlled the sudden rage that surged through her lithe frame. "I am no slave!" she exclaimed loudly now, her voice a higher-pitch than before. "And I shall speak as I see fit, as any a free would! Or do you challenge that to? Can't a free woman speak her mind without being accused of slavery!" She rose to her feet now, her hands pressed pon her full hips as she stared at the man. A hint of red crept on her cheeks now as eyes narrowed swiftly so.

[05:50 AM]  Syd Moonstone inadvertently tugs rather harder on the girls hair as a flash of uncharacteristic anger at the quest for coin from Tyros coarses though him almost like a jolt of adrenaline

[05:51 AM]  Innocence Lapis lets out a squeak of pain, she wouldn't normally but it had came out of no where and she hadn't braced herself, "I sowwy Mashter!" she didn't know what for, but it was safer to apologise than not. She died instantly on hearing her own voice, it was soft, and sweet and all that jazz but she had a serious speech impediment and it shamed her deeply she whimpered and stared down hoping not to be struck

[05:53 AM]  Kanda Veeper turns slowly and felt her ire raise. "He can call you whatever He wishes since that is His right as much as it is yours to say as you wish, woman. Certainly is not common practise for the women of any city i have known to actually have permission to speak." as far as Kanda knew, the Alar women were the only women in the world with free permission to speak short of insult "I would very carefully pick your words with Him though. It's not like anyone can begrudge Him anything ...as they can both you and i.." she finishes addressing the woman behind her and hoped that did about cover it.

[05:53 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes fell to the fellow...His words were calm...."Right is chosen by steel...and loyalties...are bought in Gold..." He said..."Surely you do not begrudge the Alar their method of life?" He said..."One mans Honor...is anothers bane...as for making the lives of citizens of cities more comfortable...I have no interest in such" He admitted..."I do not imagine your Ubar cares for the ease of life of the Alar...why would an Alar care for the ease of life for an Arian?...unless of course...He was paid to do so?" He asked..."You cannot deny the logic of this..." He quipped...and then to the woman who spoke indignant..."...If you are a woman free...the fact...escaped Me..." He said idly....His eyes gleamed merry and bright..."Speak as you wish then...you might actually say something...worth remembering...and a poem might be formed of your ire..."Ode to a woman scorned..." He mused..."It has a lofty ring to it"

[05:54 AM]  Tuntura Masatada continues watching the various exchanged. Calm yet seemingly observant he leans on his spear shaft from time to time. A slight yawn can be seen across his lips briefly. Is he guarding the temple or merely keeping the peace would be a observant perception of the post he holds. Various children wander about him as they tug on his cloak for hand outs, of which he doesn't provide. He merely waves them off peacefully as they laugh and stand at attention mimicing the Officer of the Legion.

[05:55 AM]  Syd Moonstone realises that he tugged the girls hair and returns to twirling it between his fingers not worried especially atthe yelp.. it would do her good, "my dear sir... " he speaks to the alar.. " you must live your life as you see honourable.. I may think it is not the life for me.. and I might hate Tyros with a vengeance born over many conflicts and lost comrades.. but the choice is yours and I respect it.. but now... well I am off to find the tavern.. and a cup of something warming, followed by a plate of something filling

[05:56 AM]  Archon Miles shakes his head as the holy man had seemed to run off. It was a shame that the man took flight so quickly. He just looked around in between the different people and straightened his scribe outfit. He snorted annoyingly as he wasn't the most comfortable in the short leathers. "Give me a cook's lazy clothing any day, this takes too much work to clean." He said as he patted the side of his tunic and looked between the others. He instantly didn't like the slave to his right, something about how she talked drove his nerves to no end. "Is that slave soft in the head sir?" He asked the slave's owner, not really understanding why she talked like that.

[05:56 AM]  Innocence Lapis she could hold back no longer, her chest heaved and she tried with every part of her body not to speak, she shook and stared at the floor until she said so quietly that it was almost unheard, it needed to be let out before she spontaneoulsy combusted at the heat of the sentiment, "Loyal is a currency of honor, gold buys you nothink.. only rents you a sword, or a thalarion, it doesn't buysh you honor, love, or apblace in valhallah..."

[05:57 AM]  Syd Moonstone automatically graps the girls hair and puls it tight.. very tight.. "quiet girl" you wil get yourslef killed before I find out all your uses!!"

[05:59 AM]  Innocence Lapis she nodded swiftly and looked up at him with pained, tear pricked eyes. But it was driving her crazy to hear a man with ho homestone, who had never sworn loyalty to anything talk about it as if he had any right. She looked over to the Rarius desperately, sue he understood what the Ar born scribe meant.. even if now she was a slave

[06:01 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin scoffed loudly then and replied with poison dripping of every syllable. "I need no permission to speak my mind, nor have I ever heard such a thing before. I can begrudge him for poor mannerism and lack of eyesight, for I am clearly a free woman and deeply insulted so at his words." Her face pulled in a look of thick disdain as the man continued his taunting tone. Sarcasm laced thickly through her words as she replied in a sickening sweet tone. "Oh dear Sir, how do I long to be the subject of your vast, vast, -vast- imagination were free are slaves and the world lies for you to be conquered and ruled. If only we lived in such a world, my heart would be full of poems and songs of your immense greatness and Priest-Kings would soon be forgotten." The smirk that followed lay heavy on her lips while her heart quickened its beating in rage and nerves.

[06:04 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter chuckled to the words of His woman...she was His staunchest supporter...a squeeze of her hip...He then spoke to the fellow who was in converse with the Chieftain..."I cannot begrudge you your ire...just as I cannot begrudge Ar the loss of an Outrider should He fall to her lances...When gold is traded...tasks are taken...and if an Alar does His task well...there is Honor aplenty in that.." He said simply...He heard mutterings from a slave...too low to discern...they were surely trivial...and held no weight...so He pursued it not...His eyes landed upon Archon...amusement plain...and then to the assembled...His voice rang true..."Let it be known...that the Alar are camped outside the walls...their bosk have taken to the grasses...and in the coming days...verily might you see them either on tharlarion back...or purusing market stalls...He turned then...His eyes upon the woman who was surely offended...His voice bore no malice...but nearly glee..."You are granted the right to speak thusly...surely I am : ...noble and generous...though, perhaps you might tell Me..." He said simply..."...What house of Ar...watches over your Freedom...I would speak with the keeper of the House...that He might know that there was a Woman in it...who was surely Free to her core" He said...

[06:05 AM]  Kanda Veeper lifts her chin higher and smirks "Woman.." she says with a tone stern and lacking most emotion "I think his eyesight is rather clear. You do wear your hair down like a slave ...a least given by nature for men to use. I think perhaps he might have been quite right ..and i also am sure that at least i could care less about how you were insulted...therefore less so Himself.." and she knew that her MAte was rather talking with Men and she rather did appreciate a bit of a distraction from such chats..which this woman did provide. She glances quickly to her Mate upon His words and quirks a brow. Perhaps she had become too strict with the women at home..and should let them run with free hair and freely insulting mouths ."I would rather like to know too. Words echo from her mouth as though she were a woman of Tyros.."

[06:05 AM]  Soula Copperfield winds her way through the crowd, cradling a huge clay mug of tea in her slender hands. Her face lights up at the sight of the Warrior standing vigil on the temple steps, and she quickly goes to His heel to kneel in wide nadu. With adoration and humility, she offers up the mug and drops her eyes to His toes.

[06:06 AM]  River Lee felt the small pouch at her hip and the one copper bit in it...wincing she reache dup and touched her hair, having heard thw wigmaker needs hair...maybe he would take hers, she might be able to get some pretty good coin for it

[06:06 AM]  Syd Moonstone sighs and relaxes his grip but without letting go so the instant communication of his feelings about her utterances could be kept up.. " Oh I am quite lost in thought.. and its not up to me who sides with Ar and who sides with Tyros.. all I know is that over the last set of hands and the one before that I visited Vonda, Thentis, Fina, Olni, Lara and witnessed the devastation.. honour just means something else to me.. it is about courage and what is right.. it is knowing when your enemy is beaten.. the best players dont try to demolish every pice on the board.. they just capture the homestone in the least possible moves.. "

[06:08 AM]  Tuntura Masatada casually sweeps the mug from soula grasps as he holds it under his nose. His spear is laid into the crook of his left elbow as he savours a bit of the teas fragerance.

[06:08 AM]  Innocence Lapis they were sound increasingly like mercenaries to her, no homestone, taking money for doing the filthy jobs they wouldn't even let slaves do. She looked up at her Master pleadingly, the man, and the woman, claiming to be alars were making her sick, she was in danger of puking on the woman's dress and detracting from her looks even more. If she believed they Ar'ians had little knowledge of Alar, she did nothing but confirm that Alar's had little to no knowledge of cultures outside of their own. "Mashter I beg to go and prepare your breakfast!" it was that or have another slip up and end up telling the travelers what she really thought of them

[06:10 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin smirked loudly now "I see your eyesight is equally lacking as your mates, for my hair is tied back, and isn't a braid as easily pulled as hair that hangs loose. If you wish to comment pon my hair, then tie yours too, so properly up in a bun as a woman should." She dismissed the womans words for fear she would feel the need to walk up and slap that look from her face. Her mouth felt dry at the request of her house, for she was no citizen of Ar, she was merely wandering in search of a place now that her companion had vanished from the earth. "I take residence in the village of Minus, not in Ar." she said with arrogance now, as if it were something terrible, to be an Arian woman.

[06:11 AM]  Syd Moonstone: aye girl .. you wil be of more use making a meal.. and less likey to get into trouble.. he chuckles.. and while you are about it.. check that there are hair cutting implements in the bath house.. I need to have something done about my lank locks which seem to be a problem!

[06:12 AM]  Syd Moonstone: but.. altonia.. no fish... I am almost gagging from the smell.. I am surprised anyone is left in the ciy.. it could be our secret weapon against tyros

[06:13 AM]  Kanda Veeper simply tosses up her hands and did not say much other than "Hm. Well...Minus and Treve are nearly one ..and last i heard, Treve is not friends with this place.." then she turns back to face the scribe and leaves the woman in thoughts past behind her. Over her shoulder she turns to Archon and whispers "So what brings you? Or did you follow us in?"

[06:13 AM]  River Lee eyes the guard and with a soft grunt climbs the steps.."Sir..Sir.."she asks.."can you tell me who the wigmaker is?"

[06:14 AM]  Tuntura Masatada looks at River and shakes his head clearly...no, He then sips his tea he's holding.

[06:14 AM]  River Lee frowns..she would need to find a free woman.."alright..thank you" she said sofly and hurried off..reaching up to finger the black locks determined

[06:14 AM]  Innocence Lapis she smiled brightly, happy at being excused, making a special note to go and feed the alar's bosk a purging agent daily until they died of dehydration. Thanky ou my Master!"

[06:15 AM]  Innocence Lapis: I wish you well Mistress, and look forward to the honor of serving you!

[06:16 AM]  Archon Miles looks over at the woman who had just ranted about hair in the middle of the street. "There is nothing? Nothing that you could find better to argue about?" He asked as he watched woman smirk loudly. He just laughed and waved his hands over his head, "This is a vast and dangerous world, and you'd like to talk about nothing more than hair?" He asked as he couldn't believe it. The narrow vision of their world, as he just looked around and started to take a longer look at the architecture around him. He shook his head and just watched the slave leave the pair of them, and he wondered how wrong it would be to kick a slave in the mouth infront of everyone.

[06:16 AM]  Syd Moonstone: Safe paths to all of you.. " he smiles wryly.. "but I must eat before I keel over..
 "
[06:17 AM]  Tuntura Masatada looks up from his tea and nods to Syd as he watches him prepare to depart.

[06:17 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's laughter shook the frame of the Chieftain...His eyes gleamed...to the woman of Minus He turned..."Minus...I bear that dank village no love..." He said idly..."nor the cowards of the voltai that call themselves Warriors..." He said..."Save for a few...some are not without their amusement..." He said calmly..."Its been a while since I have visited Minus...perhaps soon I will rectify that...once this...squabble of cities is ended" He said clearly pleased at the thought...He heard Archon and laughed...a bellowing thing...His hand smote His thigh once..."Ha!" He cried..."Be glad they speak thusly...else we might forget them women" He mused aloud... then nodded to Syd..."I wish you well enough...." He called out...

[06:20 AM]  Dyzu Ceawlin offered the slave a small smile between the scowl that passed her features. "I'm sure Minus would be most honoured with your presence. I shall tell them at once so a feast suitable to your grandness can be arranged. It shouldn't take more than a full month perhaps, as us lowly peasents are good for nothing ofcourse, and the mighty Alar are just that. Please, don't let me hold you up in your dealings, for I'm a mere woman with nothing better to do than sit and drink tea, being insulted by the likes of you." She flicked her wrist dismissevly at both men and the woman, shaking her as she turned to walk off briskly.

[06:21 AM]  Kanda Veeper simply shakes her head watching the one slave head off "Shockingly unpleasing ..." she mutters then quickly casts eyes toward the man who seemed to be the girls owner before they found her Mate and Archon again. "Have to say ..i have not been to Minus in a while myself. Not ..that there is much to see or do there.." and like her Mate, it was a select few people who did amuse enough to bring the Alar back to such little walled in places "Funny though..the ones i visit there are not technically of Minus.." and she takes a deep breath and did wish some days her Mate would just let her have at the woman...claw her eyes out perhaps...but she didn't exactly thing that would happen so simply turns away and takes the insults too being flung their way .

[06:28 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter looked to His mate...and then spoke..."Perhaps you might see her in a dark alley of Ar....afore we leave...you might brain her or something...I cannot begrudge you this" He said..."I though...put little credence in her words....she is not an Alar...her ire is not of import to Me..." He said...having turned then to Archon....He spoke casually..."You know...a woman of Minus...plucked from within the walls of Ar...and taken to a place less...cultured...would not be displeasing" He said...His eyes sliding to the back of the departing woman...resting there for a brief ihn afore turning back to His mates face

[06:31 AM]  Tuntura Masatada sips the last of his tea as he casually and expectantly drops the empty mug into soulas lap. He then waits for her to clench the mug, which she does promptly as he returns his spear shaft to his right hand and clenches her by the hair painlessly with his right. He then lifts her as he bends her at the waist and parks the right side of her head against his left hip. He then leads her off silently.

[06:33 AM]  Kanda Veeper slowly begins to shake her head since she was quite sure there would be no more sightings of that woman, at least on this day. "Perhaps .." she says softly back and rolls her shoulders behind her so she was standing with just a bit more pride though she was a bit confused as to what good a woman from Minus would actually do them besides perhaps a bit of entertainment. "Probably just burn down a wagon or tent though...she would.." she whispers out and did catch her Mates eyes simply mouthing out "I adore You.."

[06:45 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter chuckled to this...His hand dragging through the hair atop His head...speaking after some time..."That is most likely true...though...she is of Minus...and it might be amusing to have a woman once born free of the Peasants...made to fetch you things of your desire" the Chieftain mused..."And if a fire was started...well then...surely she could be killed as a slave...a low death for certain" He thought aloud

[06:50 AM]  Kanda Veeper raises a brow and was not sure if the Chieftain had actually seen or heard the woman properly "my Mate...i think i have seen You kill slaves for far less than the words she had just spoken...and we have yet to kill a slave for burning anything...though i wished to at least with the sheurt and the tent fire.." and as a result it was hard to believe that death would be the result for any burning down of things.."We can certainly get You another slave if You wish one ...i can keep eyes out. I for one am able to fetch things that i desire and have become rather used to doing so."
[06:53 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's breath was heard to be exhaled loudly...."Now you question Me as well...perhaps today...simply is not My day" He said calmly...then asked..."Would you have your mate...getting up in arms...over the words of a woman...take umbrage at her musings...would you see Me put so low as that?" He asked...and then was the thought waved off like so much bad air..."Bah" He said finally..."I could be a beggar in the street for all the errant lips speakin banal thoughts at Me this day" He said now clearly irritated...

[06:56 AM]  Kanda Veeper 's eyes drop narrow upon being informed that she had questioned Him. Perhaps she had but she was sure her own words far less offencive than those of the woman now wandered off. "No...of course not.." she whispers and decides perhaps it was best to seal lips...so she does. No one hated to see her Mate in a mood other than content more than she did so contribute further ...she would not.

[07:02 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes were calm...a low word given..."If I were to ride hard upon the world...seeking to crush the world before Me at every turn...who then...would pay our fee...is it not better then....to wave of the words of those who do not matter...and focus on only what does...namely...what is best...for the Laager...for picture this..." he said..."The woman is accosted...put roughly to her knees...a fellow of Ar, takes offense...and summarily is He smote in the street...guards are called by the dozens and a battle ensues...if after a horde of Men are fallen...and I was then perhaps waylaid...what would be the cause of the Alar then?..." He said..."To make war upon the world...or extricate the Chieftain from the cells of Ar?" He asked

[07:07 AM]  Kanda Veeper bows her head toward her chest and did think of course there was point in all He said. He was the wisest of Men after all. "It would be like a normal day? I was taken into custody here and was made to sit by a warm fire and receive the lecture of a lifetime.." she chuckles. Really as a result she decided Ar was the best place to be captured if such things did have to happen. "You know...actually You remind me of something i hate to ask but feel like i must since i hate to admit ..i can not always or even often predict Your thoughts. Should...anything ever happen to You...what did You wish me to do?" and though she did consider her Mate a God..there was the sad reality that He is in fact, mortal.

[07:10 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's thoughts drifted then...He spoke..."Raise My son in the ways of the Laager...seek to support who might follow in My stead..." He said in tones simple..."If I should fall...then I would expect you to carry on with dignity and a firm spine..." He said, disallowing for emotion to creep into His voice..."You are the Mate of the Chieftain...and eyes would verily be upon you..." He said...

[07:14 AM]  Kanda Veeper really had not ever wanted to ask that. She and Mika had conversation at length on harder subjects and this was one that just needed to be brought up. The answer she got was the best one she could hope for too. "I know there will not be need for any of that ...but i will do so. I think You are correct about ...eyes. " she pushes her smile back up under her eyes "Such topics i would love to quickly seen pushed from my mind now, though. Perhaps there is something more ..uplifting to be done?" and instantly she wished she had fried vulo on her person. Another picnic would have at least suited herself well.

[07:18 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter chuckled and His hand, still draped on her hip squeezed once...He spoke calmly...."You know...you are lovely to Me..." He said..."And be wary...lest I start thinking of eyes upon you and become laden with jealousy!" He said laughing...and then did His eyes cut about...the coming and going of the peoples of Ar, the masses swirling about them like a sea of humanity...He spoke words of derision..."they are urts...the lot of them..." He said...ire marking the eyes of a passing merchant....

[07:22 AM]  Kanda Veeper slips her own hand atop of His and felt great comfort from the pressure from those strong fingers "You...are my world. I don't know if You are aware. ..but You really always have been too.." she did smile a bit more a the very idea He might be jealous "If ..there was anyone in any world that compared to You..jealousy might be warranted. Lucky for both of us..eyes can look all they want. Mine ..are always rested upon You." she keeps her voice low and too did not always feel warmth for those in Ar. "Overly decorated urts. Such decoration wasted in a place like this..." and she had a very womanly moment of picturing herself all covered in excessive jewel and silk layered thickly over herself.

[07:26 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter then spoke calmly...in response to things easily known..."You know...its not escaped My attention...that there is room in the wagon now...perhaps for a girl" He said to her..."though...perhaps we aught wait until Sorath is off the tit afore starting anew" He said as He began to lead her to the market stalls...

[07:30 AM]  Kanda Veeper could not take her eyes off Him right now if she tried "You know ..i wish we could pick which sex a child would be but You are indeed right..we are just about set up for another .." and Sorath, dear Man did grow like a weed "I'm ...going to miss this um..fullness but he can come off my milk any time now really.." and she looks down to what was rather swollen under her clothes for an ihn "I..did not think You would wish daughters ..but i'm glad to hear You do.." then she knew someone had come up..familiar energy but her eyes were just locked in place

[07:31 AM]  Malachi Stormcrow looks and reaches out for the papers Kanda must have written up documenting their dealings with Ar. He was glad he could read, but at the moment not so glad he could hear. He blinked and pretended he had not heard some of Kanda's words. He was irritated with negotiations and ready to fight. "My sword aches to be unsheathed, Chieftain."

[07:36 AM]  Jaym Wolfhunter 's eyes slid to the right then and there was Hendrix seen...He spoke calmly..."I too lust for it...the ring of steel on steel...and the cries of foes sundered...but we have not reached that time yet...and our palms are not yet laden with Gold" He said to the fellow..."The terms as laid out by the Ubara are finely crafted...but they hold no weight...She, is not the Ubar..but His Woman...When said terms are laid afore us with the voice and finality of the Ubar Himself...then perhaps We might turn our attentions fully to war...until then...We might simply...start a fight" the Chieftain said simply...

[07:37 AM]  Kanda Veeper felt her face redden as she tries not to laugh outright at Hendrix's choice of words. They were so very ...him. "Classic.." she chuckles and did wonder in the end, who would be feeling Alar steel against their flesh. Her own flesh beginning to crawl wonderfully at the talk of a fight being picked. She certainly had ways to make that happen...quickly "To the tavern then?" and nothing around here started a fight faster than that had .

[07:39]  Hendrix (malachi.stormcrow) nods and allowed his eyes to dance around the idea of prompting battle. "We are good at starting fights," he agreed with a wry and lopsided grin. Kanda's idea, he thought, was impecable. "Yet another reason the Chieftain has chosen you to mate, Kanda. To the tavern! To drink! To bloody noses!" He boxed the air briefly, expending energy that was too long bottled.

[07:44 AM]  Kanda Veeper gives sage nod and finally pulls her eyes away from her Mates face. Not because she wanted to but because to keep her back to Hendrix for so long would just be plain rude. "I think there is no one better at starting fights than the lot of us. Too bad Archon seems to have run off. He picks fights and ends fights well..as well.." she gave a little bow of her head to the comment about another reason the Chieftain had taken her. She jokes "He had to take me as His mate. Blood obligation. The Chieftain doesn't even like me...tells me so constantly.." then has a good laugh to herself. She really did just adore Him. "We are staying out of the baths today though.." she adds and begins to step toward the tavern with her hands still upon her Mates upon her hip..

[07:44 AM]  Malachi Stormcrow nods dilligently and walks with them. "Aii, we are seeking to pick fights with others, not each other." He grins toothily and can almost taste the blood of a broken lip already.
